About me
My name is Arek, I am 28 and I am a programmer... by my job, by my education and by my passion.
My parents bought first computer for me when I was about 9. It was Atari 800XL. In one year after that I wrote my first, complicated program. I think I knew what I will do in my life.
During primary school I was intensively learning programing. I've created a lot of more or less useful programs in BASIC, I've started to learn assembler and... My Atari broke down :(
Few years later my parents bought Amiga 600 for me (witch I next change to Amiga 1200). Almost at once I found a good for me programing language. It was "Amos Pro", the first structural language I was using. In these times I, my brother and friend created our first "commercial" program. It was the game "Gwiezdna bomba" (The star bomb) for Amiga computers. I was 13.
In hi school, I choose "computing" class (of course). My computing teacher very fast saw, that I knew a little bit more about computers than others and together with school management persuade my parents, that I needed a PC.
My first programistic experiences with PC wasn't good. Pascal had so less number of colors... Some day, I've made a decision: I had to learn C++, I heard that this was a language used by professionals...
I've got a compiler ("blue" Borland for DOS), I've bought my first book ("C++ in 48 hours") and I've started to learn...
Today I'm graduate of "Computer science" on Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science Warsaw University of Technology and leader of big programistic project.
